"I am Captain Joel Browne Connors the squadron commander for the St. Thomas Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol. I have been in the program for 11 years now. So the civil air patrol has 3 primary missions. Aerospace education, cadet program and emergency services. The program is for cadets ages 12-21 years of age. We want to get them involved in the medical field, we want get them involved in emergency management, assist with them disasters, we want to get them involved in flying. We want to get them on that career path so they can learn to become pilots.
I would like to thank the VI Lottery for their support and belief in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program of the Virgin Islands and their continued support in the near future."

"Hi good day, my name is Cadet Senior Master Sergeant Kyara Lewis. I attend the Charlotte Amalie High School in the 11th grade. I have been a part of the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program for 4 years. My favorite part about the cadet program is the drill and ceremony I love doing drill movements and playing tap out because I like to win. The advice that I would give to any upcoming cadet is to stay focus on everything that you’re doing, be extremely disciplined in everything that you do, and be very knowledgeable on the program. When I graduate I would like to continue with the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program so that I can advance my knowledge to get in to college with a scholarship coming from the Civil Air Patrol so that I can become a pediatrician."
