VI Lottery Supports Youth in the Martial Arts

Students from St. Croix and St. Thomas of the Professor Louis A. Jackson International Martial Arts Academy (PJIMAA) recently competed in the 44th U.S. Open ISKA World Martial Arts Championship.

The two-day tournament was held June 30 to July 1, 2017 at the Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida, with over 2,500 registered competitors from Jamaica, Brazil, Florida, South Africa, New York, Germany, Puerto Rico, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Florida, Yugoslavia and China just to name a few.

The students performed exceptionally well.

"They displayed the Bushido of the martial arts. Many grandmasters commended them on their discipline, outstanding skills and sportsmanship. They competed and won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the various forms."
