Virgin Islands Lottery Temporarily Ceases Operations Due to Cyberattack
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Virgin Islands Lottery is providing an important update following our initial announcement on Monday, March 17, regarding a recent cyberattack that has impacted our operations.
Out of an abundance of caution, and in close coordination with local and federal cybersecurity experts, we have made the decision to keep our offices temporarily closed as we continue a comprehensive investigation into the origin and scope of this attack. Our top priority remains the protection of our systems, our data, and most importantly, the trust of our community.
We understand how much the Virgin Islands Lottery means to our players, dealers, and vendors—and we are fully committed to restoring operations safely and responsibly.
While it may take time, it is necessary to safeguard the integrity of the lottery system and ensure we can resume operations with confidence.
We will continue to keep the public informed as we move forward. Regular updates will be shared on our official website and across all our social media platforms.
We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate the patience, understanding, and continued support of our loyal customers and partners. Please know that the entire Virgin Islands Lottery team is working around the clock to bring our services back online—stronger, safer, and more secure than before.
